General Consignment Terms
Our consignment policy, specific to Deuxmains SRL, clearly outlines the framework of our collaboration with our valued consignors. This policy is legally binding and establishes the terms of our agreement. We offer our consignors the opportunity to entrust us with a minimum of 40 items to be sold in our online and physical stores. These items will be available for sale for a minimum period of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months, non-renewable.
The consignment process is free of charge and open to all. It is imperative that each consignor legally owns the items they wish to consign with us, thereby ensuring their compliance with current standards and laws. The responsibility for the quality of the items rests on the consignor. In the event of a hidden defect, the consignor agrees to indemnify or reimburse, if necessary, either our establishment or the final buyer.
We reserve the right to refuse any item that does not meet our quality or safety standards or that is deemed inappropriate in terms of price. Similarly, we may cancel the consignment agreement and withdraw from sale, without prior notice but by notifying you as soon as possible, any item with questionable origin or ownership, or any item with an undisclosed defect that compromises its sale according to our quality standards.
In the event that certain products are non-compliant, the consignor will have 10 business days to retrieve them. Beyond this period, the items will be generously donated to a charitable organization. The consignor may also choose to have them returned by post (with administrative and shipping fees of 10 euros for Belgium and 15 euros for France).
Sales Price :
The sale price is determined by Deuxmains SRL within 6 weeks after the date of consignment. The consignor has 24 hours to respond to the proposed prices, failing which the agreement will be considered accepted.
Payment to the Consignor :
Payments to consignors are made quarterly for sales from the previous quarter, either by bank transfer or in the form of a voucher.
Items with defects :
Sellers agree to provide items in perfect condition, with no defects whatsoever (no stains, holes, broken zippers, missing buttons, etc.). If an item with an undisclosed defect is deposited and goes unnoticed during the initial inspection, and is later sold but returned by the buyer due to its condition, the sale amount will be refunded to the buyer. In this case, the seller will not receive any commission for the item.
Unsold Items :
Items may remain for sale for up to 12 months. Unsold items must be collected within 30 days after notification; beyond this period, they will be donated to associations. Unsold items may be collected by a third party. In such cases, the consignor must inform Deuxmains SRL by email. The consignor may also choose to have them returned by post (with administrative and shipping fees of 10 euros for Belgium and 15 euros for France).
Liability :
Deuxmains SRL is covered by insurance from a leading insurer, ensuring our liability in the face of various incidents (such as civil damages, theft, fire, and floods) that may occur in our store or consignment area. In the event that the consigned items are damaged, we commit to compensating our consignors according to the terms of our insurance policy, thereby ensuring optimal protection and peace of mind.
